10.10.2007 - 11.10.2007: Integrated Urban Regeneration Conference
GENERAL INFORMATION
In April - May 2007 you were asked to reserve dates for a celebration of ten years with Kvarterløft in Denmark. Now the programme is ready and we look forward to seeing you in Denmark.
Celebrating the results of more than 10 years with Kvarterløft - Integrated Urban Regeneration
To celebrate the results we will hold two conferences. The first one will be internationally oriented and the second will be nationally oriented. What are the critical problems that all area based interventions have to face? How do we make social and ethnic integration a strong element in the interventions? Can you create urban spaces and buildings with a high architectural quality when public participation has a big role in the process? These are some of the questions to be discussed at the conferences. For people who can participate in discussions in both English and Danish it is possible to join both conference (most Scandinavians will be able to do that, indeed it’s recommended to do so as the two conferences complement each other)
The first conference will be in English at Eigtved’s Pakhus in Copenhagen on the 10-11th of October.

It will start at the 10th of October in the morning and end the 11th in the afternoon. The focus the first day will be mainly European. There will be speeches from ministers from different countries. We will have a paneldebate with panellist from different countries who represent on different angles to urban regeneration. This part will also follow up on the material from the German Presidency. The floor will have an opportunity to be active. This will also be the case with thematic workshops in the afternoon. Late afternoon: a professor will reflect on managing governance and the consequences for democracy.
Galla Dinner
In the evening all participants going to the international conference are invited to the conference dinner on the 10th of October at Moltkes Palæ. Address: Dronningens Tværgade 2, in the centre of Copenhagen. (Please remember to register for this when you enter the registration form).
